The loan and the build, moving together.
Most people don’t pay cash to build or remodel. Getting the financing right up front is how projects stay on budget and on schedule.
Construction loans
The lender pays the builder in stages, called draws, as each phase is finished and inspected. Many construction loans convert to a regular mortgage when the home is done, so there’s one closing. Get pre-approved before plans are final so the design and the budget match.
Renovation loans
Some loans, such as FHA 203(k), let you roll the cost of a remodel into one mortgage when you buy or refinance. The lender reviews our written estimate and pays the work out in stages. HUD’s 203(k) page explains the program.
Lot and land loans
Buy the land now and build when you’re ready. Some buyers roll the lot into the construction loan later.
VA loans and adapted homes
Eligible veterans may use a VA home loan, and some combine it with the VA’s Specially Adapted Housing grant.
Commercial and development
Commercial construction, land development, and business lines of credit are available through Trinathen Business Capital.
